Almondz Hotel offers the luxurious way of staying in the congested city of Delhi. The hotel is elegantly decorated and offers a European style of luxurious ambiance. With great customer service and a 24 hour service desk, it is no lie that your stay will be comfortable at the Almondz Hotel.
The rooms at the Almondz hotel bought a little bit a glamor to the chaotic city of Delhi. With four room categories, the hotel offers either a premium, executive, club or suite room stay. The executive room which I stayed in consisted of two king single beds, a large TV, a desk, tea and coffee, free safe to drink water, air-conditioning and a clean bathroom. The golden décor of the room bought a luxury ambiance into the moderate sized room. The bathroom has a large shower, toiletry supplies and a very clean toilet and sink. Each room receives free wifi, of which they must ask for from the front desk. A password is given for each device and allows the person to access the fast internet for up to 5 hours. With a range of facilities and daily housekeeping, Almond Hotel is a very contrasting way to stay in Delhi, whilst being surrounded by the poverty.
The Almondz Hotel sits in the heart of New Delhi. By staying at the Almondz you are instantly immersed in the culture, landscape and people of the city. There is a range of options to explore the city from the hotel, such as rickshaw. However, the extremely helpful and friendly staff will guide you on the best alternatives to explore. The hotel is 1km away from Karol bagh and only 500 meters away from the Patel Nagar Metro station.
The hotel sits in a street that looks like most others in Delhi; full of rubbish, crumbling houses, stray dogs and poverty. However it also is immersed among the peaceful people, beautiful colours and rich culture that India has to offer. The contrast of the outside environment to the inside interior of the 3 star hotel left me in awe. The Almond Hotel is the luxury way of being immersed in the elements of the city of which motivated me to explore the area.
Curry, Curry, Curry! The Forty 3 East Restaurant is a clear indicator on the food of which the people of India eat. Although I only ate breakfast at the hotel restaurant, the buffet style breakfast indulged us into the land of curry. The very small buffet did also offer eggs and toast for anyone who was not in the mood for curry. The contrast of the poverty and buildings outside the window seemed like an anomaly to the 3 star hotel. It was hard to remember that we were actually in India and not at a Indian restaurant at home whilst dining at the Forty 3 East Restaurant.
The biggest thing that struck me about the Almondz Hotel was how random it was; a 3 star hotel right in the middle of the chaos of Delhi. The bus we were on was approached by ten kids who were staring at us and begging through the window then 2 minutes later we were in the classy lobby of the Almondz Hotel.
